FASTforward '07 continues to be the largest business and technology conference on the “search-powered” enterprise. Sponsored by FAST, this year’s conference took place February 7-9 in San Diego, California.

FASTforward '07 brought together 1,020 leading thinkers and drivers of innovation from 31 countries for a series of lively presentations, panels, interviews, workshops and informal conversations to discuss how the latest developments in Web 2.0, Enterprise 2.0 and Search 2.0 applications will drive the next wave of value creation within and across the enterprise.

In addition to the roster of thought-leaders participating in the general sessions, twenty-one business managers presented case studies on search-driven innovation in market-leading organizations as Dow Jones, Deutsche Telekom, Elsevier, ESPN, ING, Marriott, NBC Universal, Reed Business, Schibsted, Siemens and others. There were also special workshops taking deep dives into Business Intelligence Built on Search, The Future of Media, Web 2.0 adoption research just completed by the Economist Intelligence Unit, and a variety of technical topics. These case studies were supplemented with presentations and panel discussions tackling related topics delivered by subject matter experts from ANZ Bank, BestBuy.com, Forrester Research, Infospace, McKinsey & Company, Merrill Lynch, SRA and others.

FASTforward '07 does not start and end with the physical event in San Diego. People who are interested in continuing the conversation can interact with the team of leading experts who are contributing to the FASTforward blog -- a conversation on everything Enterprise 2.0 hosted by FAST. With the large number of bloggers and podcasters who attended the physical event, the discussion lives well beyond the conference.
