Henry Birdseye WeilHenry Birdseye Weil, Senior Lecturer, MIT Sloan School of Management
Henry Weil was president and CEO of Cambridge-based management consulting firm Pugh-Roberts Associates before bringing his considerable knowledge of corporate strategy in technology industries to MIT Sloan. Weil is an expert source on telecommunications, financial services, IT, electronic commerce, media, and energy. His research delves into the effects of management policies, technology, industry structure, and regulation on corporate competitiveness and market behavior. Weil uses computer simulation modeling to analyze the dynamics of market development, competition, innovation, and long-term profitability. He currently is looking at strategies for disrupting mature markets, the role of social factors in technology substitution, and the mechanisms through which innovation creates value.
